Riverside Medical Clinic Employees Recognized on Valentine’s Day

March 1, 2013

Over 850 Riverside Medical Clinic employees were recognized this past February by the Riverside Medical Clinic Foundation at its second annual Valentine’s Day event to honor all the men and women who provide “Legendary Care” to our community.  Because Riverside Medical Clinic employees work different shifts in numerous locations across the Inland Empire, Foundation staff began the day early and traveled between Riverside, Jurupa Valley, Corona, and Moreno Valley to make sure that every employee working on Valentine’s Day received a red carnation and a special Valentine’s greeting.  We could not have done this without the help of our wonderful volunteers who put in many hours to help us get ready for this event. Thank you to our volunteers and to the caring and dedicated physicians and staff of the Riverside Medical Clinic!

Endometriosis Family Support Group Receives Grant

March 1, 2013

Riverside Medical Clinic Foundation is pleased to announce being awarded a $10,000 grant from AbbVie, formerly Abbott Pharmaceuticals. The funds will support operational costs of our Endometriosis Family Support Group, the only face-to-face support group in the United States.

This monthly group provides the latest in relevant medical information about this debilitating disease, support in the form of relating personal experiences, and the establishment of a supportive social network. Many women who have this common, benign, chronic, estrogen-dependent disorder suffer in solitude. Having a monthly gathering for these patients and their spouses serves as a healthy emotional support system as they maneuver through this difficult time.

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, staff and members of the Endometriosis Family Support Group, Riverside Medical Clinic Foundation would like to thank AbbVie for its generous support.
